2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address: Used for authentication and account recovery
• Name: Optional, used for personalization

Authentication is handled by Clerk, a trusted third-party authentication provider. See their privacy policy at clerk.com/privacy.

2.2 Evaluation Data (Free Tier)

We do not collect or store your evaluation data on the free tier. All evaluations, scores, notes, and assessments are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

2.3 Evaluation Data (Paid Tiers)

On paid tiers, you have the option to enable cloud synchronization. When enabled:

• Evaluation data is stored in our secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase)
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• You maintain full ownership and can delete it at any time
• Cloud sync is optional and can be disabled

2.4 AI Features and API Keys

When using AI-powered features:

• Your API keys are encrypted and stored only in your browser (IndexedDB)
• API keys are never transmitted to Vetoid servers
• AI requests go directly from your browser to your chosen LLM provider
• We do not log, store, or have access to the content of AI requests

2.5 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your identity
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send important account notifications
• Respond to your support requests

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising
• Share your data with partners for marketing
• Track your behavior across websites

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmission uses TLS encryption (HTTPS)
• Cloud data is encrypted at rest using AES-256
• API keys are encrypted in your browser using WebCrypto API
• We use industry-standard security practices

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. We do not use third-party tracking scripts or pixels.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Export your data at any time using the export feature
• Portability: Download all your data in standard JSON format
• Deletion: Request complete deletion of your account and data
• Correction: Update your account information at any time

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained until you delete your account
• Cloud-synced evaluations: Retained until you delete them or your account
• Local browser data: Controlled entirely by you
• Payment records: Retained as required by law (typically 7 years)

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk: Authentication and user management
• Stripe: Payment processing
• Supabase: Cloud database (paid tiers only)
• Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data protection practices.

9. International Data Transfers

Our services are hosted in the United States. If you are accessing from outside the US, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
